Annual 'Light of Love' Campaign:
Alexander County Continues Holiday Tradition
Light of Love, since 1985, has become a part of Alexander County's preparation for the holiday season. Through the Light of Love campaign, we remember those who are no longer with us to celebrate the holidays...as well as those left behind.

LIGHT OF LOVE MEMORIAL SERVICE • Sunday, November 13, 2011
Alexander County's annual Light of Love Memorial Service celebrates the lives of those who have died over the past year. After candles are lit by family members and friends of patients served by Hospice & Home Care of Alexander County, the public is invited to light candles in memory of any deceased loved ones. Special music will be provided and a reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. The religious community of Alexander County has always been very supportive of the work of Hospice & Home Care of Alexander County. This year's memorial service will be held at Liledoun Baptist Church, 2487 Liledoun Road, Taylorsville, NC, on Sunday, November 13, 2011, at 3:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

LIGHT OF LOVE TREE • The Light of Love Tree celebrates the ones you love during the holidays. On display in front of our offices on Highway 16 South in Taylorsville, the tree will shine with beautiful white lights, which symbolize the light loved ones have brought into our lives. The Light of Love Tree will be lit on Thursday, December 1, 2011. For a $1 donation, you can sponsor a light on the tree in honor or memory of a loved one. A $100 donation will honor the life and memory of a loved one with a star point at the top of the tree. Names of those recognized on the Light of Love Tree will be published in the February 2012 issue of Hospice Hope Line, the quarterly newsletter of Hospice & Home Care of Alexander County, Inc.

LIGHT OF LOVE ORNAMENT • Each year, Hospice & Home Care of Alexander County, Inc. makes available a commemorative ornament. The 2011 silver satin finish holiday ball ornament features a Light of Love Tree of Stars, along with the year, imprinted in blue. Cost of the 2011 ornament is $10. A limited number of ornaments from previous years are also available at a cost of $3 each: 2010 Twenty-fifth Anniversary Ornament, 2009 Butterfly Logo Ornament, 2008 Snowflake Ornament, 2007 Butterfly Ornament, and 2005 Twentieth Anniversary Ornament.

LIGHT OF LOVE CONTRIBUTIONS • We wish to express our appreciation for your donations and support over the past years to Hospice & Home Care of Alexander County, Inc. You have helped make it possible to continue the availability of quality end of life care to patients and their families in Alexander County regardless of their ability to pay. We hope you will consider us for your support. Your tax-deductible contributions will be used to continue the mission of Hospice & Home Care of Alexander County, Inc., a non-profit organization. All donations stay in Alexander County and are used to pay for direct patient care. Light of Love Contributions will be accepted until January 31, 2012.
